JJ Veronis has been creating sculptures and installing many of them in the streets of NYC for decades.
He has created many tributes to his friend Andy Kessler, who died in August 2009. Kessler was a revered skateboarder and influential graffiti artist and a member of “Soul Artists of Zoo York” collective in the 1970s.
Veronis’s street sculptures are often bolted to street parking signs. They are be bold, original, 3-dimensional, using creative metal sculpting technique often using found objects. These pieces are unique, as you can see with the memorial/tribute to Andy Kessler and Martin Luther King Jr. shown here.
You can see more JJ Veronis work on his instagram page and my flickr collection.
